




The 1st Annual Quilt Show & Contest, Sponsored & Hosted by the Atlanta Public Museum, will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 – Sunday, April 13, 2025; with Public Viewing from Monday, April 14 through Sunday, May 11, 2025.

​Quilt Artists and Enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds are invited to compete for more than $2000 in cash and prizes. In addition to the categories listed below, there will be additional prizes for Furthest Traveled, Quilter’s Choice and the People’s Choice Award, which will be awarded after the close of viewing on May 14, 2025.
The deadline for entry submissions is Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 4 PM CST and is limited to 25 entries per category.
Contestants will bring their quilted entries to the Museum on Saturday, April 5th & Sunday, April 6th, 2025, for check-in; followed by closed judging on Monday, April 7th – Wednesday, April 9th; with Awards on Sunday, April 13th at 2 PM CST. Depending on the number of entries, the Awards Ceremony may be closed to only the entrants, their families, and approved media outlets.

​Viewing of the entries will begin on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Atlanta Public Museum at the posted designated times and will continue until Sunday, May 11, 2025. During this time, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entry by ticket/ballot vote. Upon the closing of the public viewing, the votes will be tallied, and the People’s Choice Award will be announced.

The following categories are available for entry for the 2025 Quilt Show & Contest

Antique Quilts, 1950 or older
​
Abraham Lincoln
Any quilted item that has a connection to Abraham Lincoln either through the design (log cabin pattern),
his image or historical connection (watermelons), etc.
​
Patriotism
Any quilted item depicting patriotism, with an overall color scheme
being primarily red, white & blue
​
Route 66
Any quilted item depicting a landmark, building, etc. found on
Historic Route 66 or invokes the theme of Route 66
​
Springtime
Any quilted item that invokes a feeling or essence of Spring through color or design
