Donna L Kooistra, AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser and a former President of the Professional Association of Appraisers of Quilted Textiles (PAAQT)American Quilter's Society certified since 2010, appraises newly constructed quilts, antique, traditional, and non-traditional quilts for insurance replacement value, market value, and donation value.
A written appraisal which meets the required specifications of the Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) is recognized by insurance companies, IRS, and other legal entities as a valid expression of an item’s worth. It is essential if you want a fair replacement value from your insurance company for a lost, stolen, or damaged quilt.
